The purpose of this guide is to help players understand the token and token ships portion of this game
Receiving Tokens:
There are three main mains to receive tokens. The first and easiest way is to vote under the Emperor's Guild each day (TopMMORPG150 and Apex Gaming). You are able to vote once every 24 hours and receive .33 of a token (meaning that three votes will get you a full token).
The second way is to complete offers in the offer section of the Emperor's Guild. This can be longer, but more rewarding in the end. Some of the offers are free to do and you will receive (on average) 1-3 tokens. Other cost money, but you can receive anywhere between 15-98 tokens.
The third way to receive tokens is to donate. Donating working as follows: 10 tokens cost $5, 23 tokens cost $10, 50 tokens cost $20, and 85 tokens cost $30 to donate (You must have a paypal account). When donating over $20, you are also eligible for a special donator's research.
Token Ships:
There are many token ships in the game. These ships can be found under the Exploration tab in the ship construction tab of planets or others can be found under the utilities tab of the ship construction of planets. The first token ships are the harvesters. The harvesters are divided up into 4 different Harvesters (level 1, level 2, level 3 and level 4).
The level 1 harvester costs 75 Copper, 50 Malron, 25 Keyceron, 120 Naqueta, 15 construction points and 2500 credits (this is the only harvester that does not cost tokens). The level 1 harvester has Faster than light of 1, hitpoints of 20, special of 1 and of sub-light 1.
The level 2 harvester costs 85 Copper, 60 Malron, 50 Keyceron, 150 Naqueta, 4500 credits and 2 tokens (this is one place that tokens play an important role). The level 2 harvester has Faster than light of 2, hitpoints of 20, special of 8 and of sub-light 3.
The level 3 harvester costs 95 Copper, 160 Malron, 90 Keyceron, 190 Naqueta, construction points: 35, 6500 credits and 4 tokens. The level 3 harvester has Faster than light of 3, hitpoints of 20, special of 15 and of sub-light 4.
The level 4 harvester costs 190 Copper, 150 Malron, 210 Keyceron, 195 Naqueta, 9500 credits and 6 tokens and 55 construction points. The level 4 harvester has Faster than light of 4, hitpoints of 20, special of 30 and of sub-light 5.
The harvesters are used to harvest asteroids into blocks to upgrade any planet. This is needed to unlock some structures.
Other Token Ships:
Under the utilities tab there are 5 ships: The Nassau, the science vessel, the DISRAD probe, the DISRAD Absorber and the Mobile Targeting array.
The nassau can be used to can for fleets within 3 clicks of the nassau. This can also be used to narrow down the search for artifacts within a system.
The science vessel is what actually finds the artifacts. You place it at a planet and start searching for an artifact (this may take a couple of hours). If the first planet in the system does not have an artifact, then you must move to the next planet in the system.
The DISRAD (DIStance, RAnge, Direction) Probe is used to pinpoint the precise location of any other players fleets. This comes in handy when looking for an enemy's fleets.
The DISRAD absorber (DIStance, RAnge, Direction) is used to conceal a fleet from other players. Fleeting this unit in a fleet will help to conceal a fleet.
The mobile targeting array will help to increase the attack of a fleet. Each unit helps increase the attack score of a fleet by 4.
Each of these 5 units costs 5 tokens to produce as well as the materials (copper, malron etc) needed to produce the ship.

Token special offers are offers that cost tokens. Currently, there are 6 offers:
Ad-Space
Auto-Exploring Fleet
Auto-Harvester
Auto-Training
Lots of Credits
Premium Account
The Ad-Space option costs 1 tokens and allows you to put an ad up within Forgotten Planets for one month.
The Auto-Exploring Fleet is a unit that will explore planets and asteroids for a player. This costs 2 tokens and lasts for 14 days.
The Auto-Harvester is a harvester that will automatically harvest asteroids within one system. Once there is no more asteroids, it will wait to be moved to another system. This costs 2 tokens and lasts for 14 days.
The Auto-Training ability is a planet that will train troops (as long as the needed resources are available) automatically. This is useful for when you are not online and your planets train ships and other units for you. This costs 2 tokens and will last for 14 days.
Lots of Credits is exactly as it sounds. You pay 1 token and start off by getting 5000 credits. After the initial one token, the amount of credits that you will receive will increase.
The last special is the premium account. This is the most important special. The premium account gives you:
1. Two build queues per planet (instead of just one for structures)
2. Colored chat messages
3. Ability to see what fleets (combat, trade, black ops) are headed to your planets
4. Enhanced Resource Redirect screen - gives you the ability to select which resources are sent to the target planet.
5. Enhanced Planet Knowledge base - gives you the ability to search for planets with a given resource.
The premium account costs 3 tokens and lasts for 45 days. After your premium account expires, you will receive 2 tokens refunded. The premium account can be gained again for a cost of 3 tokens.
